Hey guys! I'm Missey

I'm a scuba diver, traveler, explorer, nature lover and warrior against plastic! Not only that, but I also have a passion for writing of all kinds and design, graphic & web.

I'm an American girl, but I've been living the dream in Mexico since 2009. I've worked for years in tourism at a zip line park, in scuba diving and as a tour guide. I now do those for fun and have dedicated myself full-time to working as a freelance as Media Mar.

On the weekends my friends and I visit different beaches here in the Riviera Maya of Mexico to clean them of garbage and plastic. We are always excited to have new members to our group called Mar Amor. Below you will find the links to our Facebook, Instagram and website. I also work with a non-profit called Dreams for Mayan Children. This non-profit was founded in 2007 by a very dear friend Patty Kasten of San Diego, California. DMC is an organization dedicated to the support of the community of Nuevo Durango, Quintana Roo, Mexico, that empowers children to create lasting change in their own lives and communities. We work alongside indigenous communities offering educational and music programs, infrastructure improvements in rural schools, along sustainable learning experiences, leaving a powerful impact on their futures!
